The woman made of flowers- oak, broom and meadowsweet, from the Mabinogion. Acrylics on canvas. Original will be on sale at The Spirit of Paganism exhibition in Ludlow on September 2nd
I missed it! Ludlow I mean, forgot all about it. Anyway this one looks great!
This IS Blodeuwedd. The illustration style looks so good Emily, it reminds me of Linda Garland's work she illustrated (quite beautifully) "Merlin's book of magick and enchantment". Ever read it?
Oh wow! That owl looks so awesome (I love owls). This is one of the few great depictions of her I've seen ... I thought of trying one once, but I just couldn't do it. You think you could make the scene where she cons Llew Llaws? I always like to picture it...him with one foot on a couldronin the ocean, the other on land, wearing nothing but a ... net? ... on a full moon night or something like that, and then Math turns him into an eagle so he can get away. I love the story. This is great, I love the color scheme. ~K
I love this one. The mood and colours are great.
